This comic take on “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” is infused with a gleefully absurdist sense of humor while retaining a childlike sense of wonder.

Band of Robbers has crafted a film that delivers witty comedy, genuine emotion, and riveting suspense without slipping out of tone. It goes beyond comedic crime caper to deliver a story that allows it's viewers to connect with the characters in a way that makes you anxious for each next moment. Writer and director team the brothers Nee clearly have a great love and respect for the work of Twain as evidenced by their careful crafting of this retelling. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and look forward to more from the Nees.

This was really a good movie. Funny, smart, suspenseful, and a great twist on an iconic american story. Well done. Go see it.

An update on Mark Twain's characters Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer. Tom is a corrupt cop and Huck just gets out of jail when its decided to look for a treasure they tied to find in their youth.

Band of Robbers is a great bromance that has a comical and erratic plot, which is at times even unbelievable, but mainly a great watch. Accented by an appearance from Hannibal Buress, quick and clear dialogue, and some subtle racial commentary I was interested the whole time. Combination of The Goonies and The Other Guys might be an apt comparison... or it might not be. Watch the movie and decide for yourself.
