By today's standards, this is a little dated. Most of the effects, story and settings have been diluted due to constant use in cartoons over the last 75 years. That being said, this is still a fun children's flick and a decent watch as an adult.

It takes its time, but not necessarily in a bad way, and mostly it's marvelous. Even the bits without Laurel and Hardy are buoyed by the enchanting set design and the delicious characterization of Mr. Barnaby. The finale is bizarre and hilarious.

One of my all time favorite Laurel and Hardy's!!!!!!!!

One of the comedy duo's best works. This film blends comedy, fantasy, and musical genres in a delightfully seamless fashion. With highlights such as the Bogeymen, and the March of the Wooden Soldiers, this film remains the best version of the broadway musical.

Really interesting with the characters in the fictional land. A couple of really nice songs. A few chuckles in there. Fun for the family.
