One of the best movies I have seen in quite some time, and I am delighted to have finally broken my bad-movie-streak. LOVED IT!!! To say that Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts are on their A-game would be a tragic understatement - they are nothing short of phenomenal in this tragic, heartbreaking and at the same time laugh-out-loud funny story of a family coming together in a time of tragedy. 10 out of 10 - A DEFINITE MUST-SEE!!!

Haunting. Extraordinary. Superbly acted. Amazing. Beautifully written. Cinemagraphically lovely. Frighteningly familiar. Heartbreaking. Without a doubt the best movie, best actresses, best actors I saw this year. If anything else wins awards its going to be an outrage.

The best movie and acting I have seen since "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" with Nicholson. I gained a new respect for Meryl Streep. Julia Roberts rocks! Juliette Lewis surprises. Chris Cooper is the man. What an actor, his versatility is astonishing. The directing by John Wells in only his second film takes you to a place of curiosity, punishment, and excitement. He brings his dramatic background from his experience with directing the TV series ER. A must see film!!!

A fantastic tale of what once was a close knit family. This could be anyone's family and it's story. Meryl Streep is beyond masterful in her portray as the head of the family. I've already watched it twice and would/will watch it again.
