This is a fine little film that tells its story in its own way and in its own time. Stylistically it seems a little stilted and odd at first. Hence the comments from insensitive reviewers here. However the style and mannerisms are clearly intentional and help create a sense of a nostalgic dream world that is at the heart of Disney creations. Just let it go and let the story take its course. In the end it's time well spent and offers Disney fans perhaps a slightly different understanding of what it's all about.

Could have had some redeeming qualities considering the subject matter but saw so few. Watched 90 minutes hoping to see Walt's big breakthrough, the first draft of Micky. So disappointed. I gave it a 3 because it truly is a safe family movie.

Nothing special here at all. It's a decent enough story about the very early life of Walt, but it's let down by the script, direction, production values and much of the acting. Mark Stuart is worthy a mention for his part as Walts dad and some good moments from Rogers as Walt himself, and good narration by Tritt.

I know this is probably not the best movie you will ever see, but I am so proud of this film and the people who worked so hard to make it.
