Army of the Dead (2008)

In 1590, Coronado dispatched a division of one thousand men to find El Dorado, the legendary city of gold. Those men were never seen again. While searching some Baja peninsula caves as part of an archeological expedition, a university professor and his students unwittingly unleash a long dormant curse. They soon find themselves in a life or death battle with an army of skeletal warriors, the undead remnants of Coronado's conquistadors.

Really poor effects mixed with really poor acting. Cliched characters and lacking in originality as far as story is concerned. Avoid.

I can't believe this movie took itself so serious. With the acting talent, i would've thunk it would be mildly amusing but i think they seriously thought they had a good script in their hands. not much to recommend.

You'd think a movie that promised an army of murderous skeletons couldn't be bad, right? You'd be horribly wrong. The acting was woeful and would have looked bad in your average soapie, the so-called special effects were average at best and how is it that a handful of skeletons can strike suddenly before their quarry have much chance to react, yet an entire army of them advance so slowly that their intended victims seemingly have all the time in the world to mount some sort of defence and then escape? Terrible.
