I will say, the movie works as a complete time wasting, mindless adventure. The kind of movie you talk through and say oh, that scene was cool. Outside of that you have a mess of editing, uneven pacing, tropes and cliches galore, ham fisted character intros, unexplainable physics and general lack of any caring as to where this mess ends up.

Army of the Dead is neither the best of Snyder nor the worst. In whipping a bit of both extremes into a dependably watchable piece of pop froth that hits the appropriate marks, the movie strives for the expected relevance, offers the right amount of nonsurprise surprises, and distinguishes itself from the given rules of the genre just so that it, more or less, breaks even.

The lastest movie of Zack Snyder "Army of the Dead" is a funny splatter zombie movie tha didnt hide from the poster or the trailers of the movie. If you want to see a masterpiece oscar base movie , this is not for you . The action is amazing Batista starting to become a really nice action hero for the cinema and the quality of the photography is really nice. The plot is nothing special ... We are here for the action ,the troll moments and zombies. But its not ten .... i know i said before we are not here for the plot but there are some huge plot wholes in this film which i can noticed really easily and thats why is 8 and not 9 or 10. Gather with friends and enjoy the movie . I might noticed its a 2:30 hours movie but you wont get tired after watching it.

This is a fun and entertaining movie through and through. The action is top tier even for Zac Snyder. The plot is straightforward on the surface but with many added threads that make it just that much more interesting if you aren't already on board for the zombies. The cast is well diverse and is excellently lead by Dave Bautista who shows his acting range. Only gripe I would have is that certain plot threads are cut unexpectedly to refocus scenes for action. Overall a great time to be a zombie fan.
