Autorickshaw driver Amal is content with the small, but vital, role he serves - driving customers around New Delhi as quickly and safely as possible. But his sense of duty is tested by an eccentric, aging billionaire, who, moved by Amal's humility, bequeaths him his entire estate before passing away. With only one month to discover and claim the inheritance, Amal's struggles with duty and wealth are threatened by all those around him - from a young injured beggar girl and a lovely store merchant, to the danger of the old man's upper-caste friends and siblings, all seeking to claim their share of the riches.

An excellent film by first time film director, Richie Mehta. I would highly recommend this film and it's coming out on August 8th in Toronto and Montreal. Check it out! Rupinder also does a great job as Amal.

J'ai bien aime malgre la simplicite de l'intrigue. C'est bien de voir notre Vik Sahay national dans quelque chose qui a du bon sens... ;)

A bit slow moving at times, but nonetheless the very nice story. Story follows an autorickshaw driver in India, who simply tries to do good.

Even with the clichÃ© and easily readable plotline, the beauty of India's visual landscape couple with message of modesty and frugality outshines and carries the story to a higher plain of poignancy.

a simple,down to earth, realistic story. Might not have the commercial appeal, however will not disappoint you for second.
