Everyone whos on the fence about seeing this, or doesnt want to see it due to the so called "Critics" please do yourself a favor and go see it. This is one of those movies you will regret not seeing in the cinema.

Excellent film adaptation that has heart and sets a new bar for visual effects and fight choreography. The original comic inspired Elysium, District 9 and many other films in the genre. Do yourself a favor and see it in 3D or at an IMAX theater.

Finally the curse of anime/live-action adaptations is broken. This is hands down the best of its kind EVER done.

One of the best movies i've seen in a long time. I've read many critics and can say, if u dont know exactly whats going on (so if you dont know the anime/manga) it will be a very good movie. The expressions and the story from the figures in the movie are very good also. Best movie since Avengers Infinity War for me 10/10. Hoping for a sequel.

This movie is a competent adaptation of the manga and is head-and-shoulders above any other manga/anime to live action adaptation released by Hollywood yet. The movie is mostly true to the source material, Rosa Salazar lends the movie an emotive and entertaining performance, the action sequences are the best I've seen in a while, and the CGI is the best I've seen since Avatar released around a decade ago. The only downside to this movie is the romance feels somewhat rushed and the story pacing can feel slightly fragmented in parts; however, I believe that is one of the downfalls of adapting source material that contains multiple chapters into a movie that hopes for sequels instead of a series, so I won't really count that against them. Best of all, the movie shoots to entertain its audience among its various areas of competence as opposed to trying to push political rhetoric.
