What an unexpected surprise. Lots of cyberpunk; lots of high-tech; lots of martial arts all wrapped around a fairly descent story 300 years into the future.

A necessary addition to the cyberpunk genre! It was a very enjoyable experience with gorgeous visuals and great action. The world is is captivating, even if a softer departure from the original material. Character building is well paced, apart from the romance which needed a little more work. Maybe a bit too much crammed into the movie, but, overall it did not take away from the experience, just left you wanting for more. Also enjoyed the acting and the music. I really hope the make another.

This movie is done great on every level. CGI, motioncapturing/animation are maybe the best you can buy for money. Weta did great. I love the characters. Especially Alita and Ido.
