Liked it. Glenn Close and Janet McTeer should get an oscar but won't because the incredible Meryl Streep is nominated also.

This is an extraordinary film on so many levels - worth so much more than the mystifying low rating it's received here. Has everybody been watching too many blockbusters lately - maybe a palate cleanser is needed to clear people's vision. );

Very moving, great acting and perceptive glimpses of Dublin around 1900. The subject requires some maturity. Giggling smart alec's should avoid this movie.

Albert Nobbs is not just a movie, it is a time travel. its subjects are sexual oppression, the exploitation of women in patriarchal society, gender identity and the shaping and misshaping of character.
