Great fight for freedom and dramatical end. It's very hard to do, killing the people. If also it's your friend of brother, you must stop and think one more time. Should you really kil him? Is it going to help you on your war? Is it going to help you to reach your goal? It's hard to choose. Everyone can't do choice, it's so hard to do. Your consciense, your heart and your feelings may be contradictory with your conscious and decisions.

How can I describe it? There are everythings of our life. Solitude, fraternal love, love, conflicts, belief, politics, living history. Even though it's been a long time I saw this movie Sometimes I remind some of scenes. I never forget the barley field.. with gray sky in this film.

While most of the fighting that takes place in the movie is between the Irish and the British, the movie is really about the underlying conflicts of the Irish Civil War and the resulting political divide that is still present in Ireland. Its a tough watch, but well worth it.
