Great movie, I saw it maybe in 1994 or 1995

Absolutely beautiful and totally underrated! One of my favorites as a child and still to this day... heartwarming story of a boy who helps a young girl traumatized by war to learn to trust again. It will have you bawling your eyes out.

Really sad movie...but good. I liked Lukas Haas's character the most; he brought a lot of heart and emotion to the movie. The ending leaves you wondering, and usually I don't like those kinds of endings, but the rest of the movie was so good that I still rate it high.

As it moves forward, into hope and then back into terror, Alan & Naomi deepens and quickens. In many ways it is a simple and modest little picture, obliterating unthinkable horrors too easily.
