Good movie. Didn't know the movie was in Hebrew but still watched it and enjoyed the story line and Natalie Portman's debute as director. I would consider it a top movie in the foreign film category.

Sensible, intriguing and bittersweet! One of the things that impressed me was that I could feel the love of Amos for his mother, and vice versa, through the screen. The purest and powerful love. Truly a beautiful and well done movie. Natalie is amazing... as always!

She (Portman) has filmed the book according to its emotional meaning to her, and that’s fine. What she hasn’t done is whip it into shape as a compelling movie.
