An orphaned boy named Tomás is adopted by Maire O'Donnell to live on a whimsical Irish isle filled with new friends, secret caves and a lost baby pup seal stranded on the coast. Boring, predictable, simple, contrived, manipulative. Might be good for young kids. Parents, do yourself a favor and sit in the lobby so you can text on your cell phone while this one is running.

A very moving Canadian & Irish production about a young orphan who comes to live with a childless couple on a remote Irish island in the early 1960's. Adapted from a beloved children's book, the film is a touching tale of a sensitive boy with a stutter who finds a home and his place in the world.
