The WOKE contrivances just never stop. This is ruining a lot of entertainment and this movie is just another victim on the side of the road. Most scenes seem contrived and unnatural and the believability of the actors and action stretches my credulity. All in all, we'd give this a "don't waste your time.

Pugh and Freeman are superb at embodying their characters’ emotional wounds, but Braff’s melodramatic approach quickly becomes oppressive, clumsily orchestrating wild highs and lows with such inelegance that his protagonists start to resemble helpless pawns he is pushing around the narrative chessboard.

I cried for about 30 minutes sitting in the theater after this film ended. My girlfriend was genuinely worried about me. It is the perfect film, and the pinnacle of its subject matter.

Pugh delivers a superb starring performance that serves to accentuate her growing artistic stature and co-star Morgan Freeman turns in his best work in years after appearing in far too many sub-par vehicles. Their efforts lift A Good Person, which otherwise too often feels familiar in its themes and self-conscious in its melodramatic plot contrivances.
