Probably the only 4hours long film I've ever loved ;-) My favourite version of the play.

This is the only film version of 'Hamlet' that gets it completely right. Branagh is dazzling as the tortured prince and the supporting actors, everyone from Charleton Heston to Derek Jacobi, are flawless.

It was well put together and very well casted. If your gonig to make a Shakespeare movie it should be done this exact way.

The best Hamlet version i've seen. Particularly Kenneth Branagh (Hamlet) who loose his own identity and become Hamlet, in the succesful decors and costumes, with wise word plays of his, and his noble being. Watching this movie is like reading the book with your mind's eyes, and become a part of it; silent, and thinking about the wonderful texte. This movie must be seen, not only one time; the more you watch you notice a detail and appreciate it.

The best film version of the play (no cuts!), great acting and beautifully set in Blenheim Castle. A word of warning: it's quite long.
