It's hard to rate this film as I would have definitely never watched it if it didn't have Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. My wife kind of is a sucker for bad Lifetime movies, so I figured we could watch this one. It isn't really a comedy or mockery as the film plays it straight 99% of the time, with tons of cheesy lines included. I still couldn't help but laugh multiple times, especially at Ferrell. Also the last scene makes you wonder if the joke is on the viewer when it's all over. Overall a terrible Lifetime movie that is worth watching just to see Ferrell and Wiig play it straight in a bad film that kind of makes fun of bad films.

Its just such a departure from the roles we are so used to seeing them in. For me, I saw the ending coming... over all impression... eh.

Except for terrible acting and a plot we have all seen a dozen times, this wasn't bad. Will Ferrell is so wooden, I thought I was watching stills.

Yes, you all know it's going to be awful. It's a Lifetime movie. Or was it a spoof of a Lifetime movie on the channel? Whatever it was, it was played straight. The only clue to something more humorous is at the very end before the credits. I believe this was just a silly thought from Will and director friend, Adam McKay on the idea of doing something like this under the radar and then seeing if Kristen Wiig would be up for it. Not great to watch, but it did keep you on edge waiting for a joke to come- which it never truly does. The joke was on us, the viewer.

Why would these two do anything other than comedy...?
