The film really did not make any sense at all, random deaths and campy characters seemed more clumsy than scary. Robert Englund proved that he should stay far away from directing.

An extreamly stupid and dull film that I think some of my friend's and I watched and made fun of while drinking some beers. It was pretty bad...there is nothing else to say. The plot was stupid...something about calling a phone number and having the devil answer...it was really lame.

Robert Englund(Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies) directed this movie about a nerd who reaches out to the devil via a 976 phone number. Pretty good 80's horror film.

Directed by Freddy Krueger, it's just what I remember bad 80's horror to be. Dated cheesiness at 2 in the morning. Had forgotten it starred the kid who was also Evil Ed in Fright Night.
