This is my all time favorite science fiction film. It's scope is epic as its story, its score, its effects, and its camera work. It's beautiful and moving and I can't recommend it enough.

One of the foremost statements of the motion picture as an art form versus mindless entertainment. It's still amazingly relevant, in that our technological advances haven't even equaled what Kubrick shows in his cautiously optimistic vision of the future.
