Sound quality and camera work could have been better, but an energetic and awesome concert performance nonetheless. Next best thing to being there.

Decent capture of David Bowie at his creative, flamboyant best. Good concert, and it's not all about Bowie. Mick Ronson's guitaring almost steals the show. Interesting behind-the-scenes footage adds a new, more personal, aspect to the live concert genre. Could have done with more of that though, as the behind-the-scenes stuff is fleeting, and sometimes seems token. Maybe some footage of practices and sound checks, or interviews with Bowie, would have been in order. Not perfect though. Production quality is quite raw and rough. Sound quality is variable. A must-see for all David Bowie fans.

Visual annoyances aside, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars is a precious time capsule worth appreciating, whether you were around to appreciate the original or not.

This film is the ultimate in Rock and Roll showmanship. The end of the Ziggy Stardust era culminates with this, the last show of the tour. Although the sound quality isn't spectacular (We can blame D.A. Pennebaker for that) the greatness of the music still shines through. Perfect for any Bowie fan, or any fan of rock and or roll music.
