I love the humorous Zatoichi as much as the next guy but I LOVE it when he gets pissed off.

This Zatoichi outing has even better direction than the last. There are stylish usages of the camera that make the fight scenes even more engaging, such as the overheard shot when Zatoichi takes on a gang. Usage of blood in the massacre makes it more gritty too. This is a solid entry in the series.

Despite the recycled formulas and that "more of the same" sense of familiarity, the series just keeps getting better

The POV of the fly in the beginning of this movie is amazing. Especially when Zatoichi decides to chop them into pieces. A comedic chapter in the Blind Swordsman series.

i think this one is my favorite of the Zatoichi films, after a while all the titles sound the same.
