Absurdly cheesy with performances so vapid from everyone except of pros Basil Rathbone and Estelle Winwood it would be an insult to dinner theatre acting to say it was that good . Colorful but very empty.

The MST3K version is a classic. Ditto. Ditto. Ditto.

Horrid acting. I suppose the plot and special effects were up to par in the 60's. It was good for a laugh!

Powerful fantasy storytelling, despite an ultra-low budget--Huzzah!!
