I had forgotten how good this movie is. Full of exceptional moments and scenes, particularly two scenes where director Kenneth Longergan portrays the parish priest. I want to speak in superlatives, but the beauty of the film is its humanity, gentleness and restraint.

Such a gentle but true film, held together not only by superb, naturally played and honest acting throughout, but also fine scripting and direction. A story about two grown up children whose parents died in a car crash years ago could have been heavy and dense to plough through, but this movie shines with tenderness and the truth that whilst people cannot always 'fit' together smoothly, they can still love each other. Trauma may colour a lifetime, but here the colours have a persistent gentle radiance. A gentle gem.
