Possibly the most visually and philosophically perfect film ever made.

This movie is good but it is heavily steeped in Korean Seong (like Zen, but Korean) Buddhist elements, such as disjointed photography aimed at memicking the koan tradition. Not meant to be conceptually logical but rather visually experiential.

not meant to follow one particular line of thought, but to be more visually experiential. this is a buddhist film from korea that ponders the questions of "leaving and arriving" in many senses. it is the "koan" (basically a buddhist riddle that leads to enlightenment) that is the basis of the film but the film really feels like a koan, itself. its beautifully shot, but as far as im concerned is a bit too amorphous in the end.
