The first real spring break movie that I know of. Pretty racy for its day. With scenes discussing sex before marriage and questions about the purpose of university education. Most of the movie is fun and campy, but it culminates in a rape scene that has a lasting impact. It is reasonably well written and there is good direction, costumes and locations.

Taken for what it is and for when it was made, this is really a delightful comedy/drama. The young Dolores Hart is staggeringly beautiful (she became a nun shortly thereafter), as are Yvette Mimeiux and Paule Prentiss, and Connie Francis is adorable. Reminds me of the decade I was born (the late 50s), for which I have much nostalgia, sigh.
