What Just Happened (2008)

During the course of an ordinary week in Hollywood, movie producer Ben must navigate his way through shark-infested waters as he struggles to complete his latest projects. A demanding studio boss demands extensive changes to a movie starring Sean Penn, while another chief won't greenlight a project unless star Bruce Willis shaves his beard. Meanwhile, Ben tries to reconcile with his wife and maintain a relationship with his young daughter.

The title of Barry Levinson's new movie, What Just Happened, is not phrased as a question, but if it were it would demand another question in response: 'Who cares?'

A minor, too gentle satire about Hollywood, Levinson'insider's film adds a panel to a growing body of films--really a subgenre--including his own Wag the Dog and Jimmy Hollywood, but lacks originality and biting humor.

I think it's a good movie. And not really about hollywood. It's about wanting to live a life of twenty year old forever... even when you're middlaged man with gray hair. Be carefull what you ask for. Shallowness and unpredictability of even well payed job, neurotic partners in work and egoistic life partners whose only concern is me, me, me and MY happiness, can make you long for times when at reaching 60 you had some things in life given for granted.
