Based on the novel. Good but not great. However, the soundtrack by the legendary Canadian group the Rheostatics is a masterpiece.

This is a must see. A fantastic movie. Read the book first and think... brian wilson. If you love music and amazing acting and character development, this will not dissapoint.

A story about love, mental illness and music, all wrapped into one nice neat package. Plus it has whales, and I love whales, plus I met the author once and he was a really nice guy, so that rocks too.

Wow. You mean to tell me I didn't dream this one up? Seriously, I had begun to think that this movie didn't exist and that I'd only imagined it. Turns out the beast really did need more torque.
