Salford, North of England, 1976. The now much diminished, but still dysfunctional, Khan family continues to struggle for survival. Sajid, the youngest Khan is deep in pubescent crisis under heavy assault both from his father's tyrannical insistence on Pakistani tradition, and from the fierce bullies in the schoolyard. So, in a last, desperate attempt to 'sort him out', his father decides to pack him off to Mrs Khan No 1 and family in the Punjab, the wife and daughters he had abandoned 35 years earlier.

this is more serious than the prequel but still entertaining. if you watched 'east is east' you gotta watch this.

I guess i should have realised it could'nt be as good as the first... a good attempt, this time taking the story back "home" Unfortunately its very short on laughs and way too stereotypical to be taken serious. Shame!

A different kind of material to that of 'east is east' the film could have been put together better in terms of editing IMO but the result is better than what the critics were reporting. I enjoyed the landscapes (which were India really) and the 70s setting.

Just inferior to East is East in every way. This feels forced and contrived and by the time the true emotions come out, I'd lost all care for the characters.

I will not rewatch this film......enough said.......Its just one of those films you can't rewatch. There were some funny parts. It had its moments. I think one of best parts is simply just watch them swear . It is fascinating .
