loved! Great acting, aweesome camera angles and movement. Very fluid and allowed the viewer to feel like they were there along with Wendy and not just watching her. Highly recommend for Dog lovers only as others may not understand the love between the owner and her dog finding the movie to be stupid.

Wendy Carroll (Michelle Williams) is driving to Ketchikan, Alaska, in hopes of a summer of lucrative work at the Northwestern Fish cannery, and the start of a new life with her dog, Lucy. When her car breaks down in Oregon, however, the thin fabric of her financial situation comes apart, and she confronts a series of increasingly dire economic decisions, with far-ranging repercussions for herself and Lucy. WENDY AND LUCY addresses issues of sympathy and generosity at the edges of American life, revealing the limits and depths of people?s duty to each other in tough times. Wendy serves as both detailed portrait and metaphorical expanse. Her pain is specific but also vague, her loss exact and all-encompassing.

Even after about a year from watching this, this movie still nips at me like a puppy begging for attention. Very simple plot but a very effective tone and performance by one of my favorite actresses right now.
