Welcome to the Punch is by no means groundbreaking or challenging as a motion picture, but it packs a lot of (pun intended) punch.

An overly stylised British crime thriller with a good character driven story of revenge & conspiracy. Becomes shoot out heavy at the end and it doesn't tie up the story, but the suspense and great acting make it worthwhile.

it tries to set itself out a kind of british version of heat, saying that the action scenes are done very well the stunts and camera work are good but you just cant ignore the gaping holes in the story and they only seem to get bigger as the film goes on. the cast are good though and carry the film until the end and a few of the scenes are pretty intense and have you gripped for a while but then as quickly as you get attached the film loses it again. this could of been so much better.

Good action a bit slow in places but quite a deep film, not at all what I expected. Not a bad film at all.

Great film with lots of action, the end was very poor though and makes me think there will be a sequel in the future. Enjoyed the film but not in the same league as The Sweeney.
