I found it to be thought provoking and clever, in addition to action packed! I was hooked thanks to twist after twist.

I saw the movie tonite. I must say that I really enjoyed it a lot! I did not realize it was a remake of a 1972 Charles Bronson film, directed by Michael Winner. I had to research it online to figure it out. This new remake, starring Jason Statham & Ben Foster and directed by Simon West, kicked ass! The action scenes were great! It also has an intriguing plot that'll keep you guessing until the end. Jason & Ben did an awesome job in this movie. Simon West did a great job of directing it. I would say this is his best film since Con-Air, starring Nicholas Cage, about 15 years ago. I must nominate this movie as the first good movie of the year. If you're a big fan action movies, then you'll like this one, even if you already seen the 1972 movie.

8.5/10 - You get what you expect. A straight forward action flick, that really doesn't hold back. Being a huge fan of the original, I was hoping they did it justice and honestly, they did. Statham and Foster were great. The direction was pretty solid, and they didn't use TOO much of the quick cutting during action. Oddly enough, Ben's fight was done very well, but Jason's were too choppy. Statham being the "action guy" it was an odd choice. If you dug the original, you'll know what to expect. If you haven't, you'll dig it if you like solidly made action flicks.

Does Jason Statham have any other characters? No? WHO CARES!! He is awesome! This is another fantastic action-packed movie. Typical Statham being the centre of attention and the centre of perfect fighting and explosions.

Loved it. Great update to the original film with Bronson. Jason Statham is great. The stunts in this film are fantastic!
