An interesting movie about a woman who fell for the wrong guy. Giovanna did a fantastic job. The way that they incorporated stock footage was really interesting.

An art-house version of a historical drama that takes plenty of risks--some of which are more successful than others. But you can't say enough about Giovanna Mezzogiorno's performance.

Mezzogiorno is mesmerising as Mussolinis miss treated misstress (no alteration intended) but aside from that this film is interesting without every being exceptional.

Not knowing the background well enough, I owe this movie another star. A magnificently made film, where history is human tragedy, as it usually is. And then, women in madhouses are my favourite topic. Especially when played by Giovanna Mezzogiorno.
