2067: Isolation: Japan seals herself off from the eyes of the world in the face of unilateral international policy setting strict limits on the use of robotic technology. The island nation exists only behind a veil of seclusion. No soul shall enter. No soul shall leave. 2077: Revelation: The veil is breached. Dazzling animation alone is reason enough to watch this, even though the story falters towards the end.

I'm not a great fan of manga, so wasn't totally comfortable going into this one. I should not have worried. The gorgeous animation held me for the full runtime. As good as the story was, it could have been secondary (it wans't thankfully) and I still would have greatly enjoyed. Action-packed and a real thrill ride.

Great animation and action scenes. Good music by Paul Oakenfold. The most satisfying anime I've seen in years. The story gets a bit lame near the end but it's still a really cool flick.

This film is beautifully rendered. The plot is compelling, although a bit heavy handed at times. Very complex themes, that you will revisit after you leave the theater.
