Not bad but the subject matter is heavy on exposition, thus slowing the movie down.

Solid political thriller had some great scenes.

Bill Cosford 03 Jun 1988

Thesping is on the plus side, particularly Nolte in a role cut to his proportions. Director Roger Spottiswode, after a couple of earlier actioners, has great potential.

This is the kind of movie that almost always feels phony, but "Under Fire" feels real.
