Scattered, incoherent; and with an ending that is set up both blatantly and minimally, if that makes sense. Val Kilmer, an actor I admired and who was once known for rigour, seems to be becoming Brando-esque in more than girth. Speaking of which, his little drunken impersonations mid-film were a - no, THE - highlight of the flick for me...but given how throwaway that scene is, it emphasizes how disappointing the movie is overall.

The only thing more baffling than the bad acting, cheap effects, lack of clear motivation for any of the characters' actions and the unclear plot is the fact that a film plagued by this many problems came from a director as experienced and seemingly talented as Francis Ford Coppola. 4,5/10

What happened to Kilmer? :( I liked the some of the visual effect in the dream scene though.

Pretty terrible. Val Kilmer's charm has all but faded to dust. What the hell was Francis Ford Coppola thinking when he made this piece of hot, stale garbage? There are very few things that language can convey that could explicate how I feel about this film, but suffice it to say that I was dumbfounded at just how bad it became and how rapidly it descended into silly nonsense. Elle Fanning is always a wonder but even she can't save this story. And those weird rabbit teeth that she sported the entire film? Very bad aesthetic (characteristic?) choice. I'd watch this again just for the unintentional hilarity.
