Twixt (2011)

A washed-up horror novelist arrives in a sleepy town on a book tour, only to stumble into a string of eerie murders. Haunted by dreams of a ghostly girl named V and guided by the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe, he's drawn into a nightmarish world where fiction and reality blur—and the story he's chasing leads back to his own buried guilt.

How could anyone like this? It seems more like a home movie than a full release.

The movie is filmed like an FMV game from the mid '90's. Then there's this gem: "You know who made daylight savings time, don't you? Hitler. You know who supports it now? Doctors. And do you know why? Golf." And, the appearance of Edgar Allen Poe. This movie is odd. It's terrible, but you should watch it.

Twixt is a 2011 horror film written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The plot comes to Baltimore Hall, writer of horror novels, during a promotional tour for his book arrives in the town of Swan Valley. Here the sheriff Bob LeGrange, a great admirer, tells a story for a book that would want to do along with Hall. The story is about the death of a 12 year old girl killed by a wooden stake driven into the heart. That same little girl named Virginia, appears in a dream to Hall. To understand the film must be transported from the visual style and the storytelling. The great director Coppola which we propose a very interesting film on several points of view and can be interpreted in many ways.

I hope Francis' dream was better than this film...

Merkelig skure av en film. Val Kilmer har vel ikke gjort noe bra siden Helgenen i '97. Burde vel legge opp snart. Og at Coppola var borti denne var vel heller ikke heldig.
