Truly Madly Deeply (1991)

Nina is totally heartbroken at the death of her boyfriend Jamie, but is even more unprepared for his return as a ghost. This is one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen, adn Stevenson's performance opposite Rickman is heart-rendingly beautiful. This is one of the few cult romantic movies thta deserved its cult status.

This was the beginning of my Alan Rickman fetish and watching it again makes me feel nostalgic for London and those terrible cardigans that people wore.

I loved this movie. I found it out of chance. Was browsing the comedy section at my local video store about 10 years ago, when I came across this jem of a film. I rented it out of the shear fact that it has Alan Rickman, whom I just love. I became a fan of his in Die Hard, and made it official when he portrayed the Sheriff of Nottingham. So here this was a comedy with the man that has made his career with plan baddies. Not that this film was much of a comedy, I spent the entire movie bawling my eyes out. Juliet Stevenson was heartbreaking as the angst ridden Nina, and Alan was brilliant as her ghostly boyfriend Jamie.

A superior take on Ghost - with marvelous performances from Juliet Stevenson and Alan Rickman, it's also good to see Bill Paterson.

My favourite movie of all time. Minghella truly knows how to woo a woman.
