Awaking from a coma to discover his wife has been killed in a car accident, Ben's world may as well have come to an end. A few weeks later, Ben's out of hospital and, attempting to start a new life, he moves home and is befriended by a beautiful young neighbour Charlotte. His life may be turning around but all is not what it seems and, haunted by visions of his dead wife, Ben starts to lose his grip on reality.

Now, this... is a total shame! Such a great concept turned into a not so great movie. The more I knew about the story, and the more the mystery was unveiled, the more I thought something like: "Why?... Oh, why didn't you let Palahniuk be the story teller and Fincher the director?... WWWHHHHYYYYYY????". And to think that I could have been swept away by this film if only they had known how to do it properly... They had the twists, they had the 'mind fuck' factor... And then they just threw it all away without even blinking. It's like going to dinner at a fancy restaurant and order pataniscas de bacalhau, while the lobster is waving right there in front of you. Tsc, tsc, tsc... Check, please.

this was really good. so differnet for Firth, because it was the only Firth picture I could ever watch the whole of, (not talking about nanny mc p), and the suspense was excellent. Good, good, good.

Influenced by Japanese horror movies... we are treated to ants running free, TVs which transmit nothing but hiss, spooky psychiatrists and mediums to little or no purpose.

i personally didnt like this film it was confusing and silly i like colin firth but this wasnt a good movie for him !!

Lots of potential without really being able to pull it off. Creepy feeling film without really a pay off of the horror it promises. However, you can have the tarantula. Not a happy scene.
