An acceptable if very uneven Transformers outing. The setup, plot, and story are absolute nonsense. The beast transformers are nice but wildly under utilized, did not need a 6th film centered on Optimus Prime. Pete Davidson as a Transformer was about what you would expect. The over reliance on pop and hip hop needle drops in the climactic fight was frustrating.

2018's Bumblebee worked appropriately as a reboot for the Transformers franchise because it brought a degree of emotionality back to the saga that had become completely cold and lifeless in Michael Bay's hands. Things were looking good for a sequel. Five long years later it arrives and Paramount along with Hasbro make the same mistake of wanting to be so big that they get lost in all the chaos that once again everything feels like more of the same. Lots of explosions, zero story. If that always entertained you with these characters, I don't see why it won't now. And if you never liked them before for the same reason, then the same rule applies. And the ending? Well, I don't think this movie will do very well at the box office so I kinda doubt we'll get to see that crossover, but to be honest that's something I can't say for sure either.

I'm Jamaican and I apologize for my creole but di movie did baaaaddddd(which means it was really good). Nuh one bagga talking cause this should just win movie of the year and done. The whole theater were on their feet applauding at the end and trust me that doesn't happen in Jamaica. I'm telling you the movie was that good. I didn't think Transformers could get any better but I was wrong and I'd actually watch this again. I am going to watch this again...tomorrow in fact. I loved it. Best movie 2023. Thanks to the directors and cast.

I have to say I really enjoyed this, a great nostalgia trip and there's nothing wrong with that. It's the first live action Transformers movie I've seen and I feel like it carried some of the feeling of the old animated series while also having a nice modern/retro style mix. The writing is not up to much but but it somehow didn't iritate me in the way that it did in e.g. Avatar WoW. Overall, I think if you have nostalgia for Transformers I think it's and enjoyable movie but otherwise it may not be your cup of tea.
