The spliced adjective docudrama is an automatic turn off for me, but this is the best climbing film ever made. Ever. Please tell me of a better one if you disagree.

This film was great as it was a documentary style and you really feel the pain! The whole cinema stayed in their seats silenced after the film was over as it was so powerful, heart renching, brave and just as good as the book for a change!! Just shows how determination and the human will to live can make you overcome crazyness.. but the real question is - would you have cut the rope.. I hope never to find out!

Note to self: " dont climb with persons owning or carying a knife!" P.S Don't let your mom or your loved one see it if they are not into mountaineering and you are!....learned that the hard way.

some people didn't actually get this was a true story, told by the actual persons involved so they criticised the lack of action!Doh! I think the reconstructions are well done. But the real power is in the narration. I think the men show amazing honesty when they each tell their part in this incredible story. A real testament to survival through mental toughness as well as physical.
