It tickles the bones even though the plot is slight and the story line is farfetched and hardly believable.

Cute costumes, corny dialog, absurd plot, big stars fulfilling their contracts.

The cast is terrific, Peter Lorre stands out. Good mixture of genre?s, very entertaining with an interesting story. It?s not quite up with the quality of the stars other films from that era, but it?s still good.

Emanuel Levy 12 Aug 2012

A quintessential Gable star vehicle, this escapist fare is mildly entertaining due to the acting, with Rosalind Russell as the King's equal-rival.

Fun movie with Clark Gable and Rosilan Russell
