A slow movie about 2 sisters who return to live on a boring town with a clery father. One of the girls out of boredom takes away ward path in the foot steps of her disgrace mother when she encounters an intriguing gypsy man.The book of this movie was considered scandalous back in the its day.

Too much virgin (Shimkus) and not enough gypsy (Nero). The transfer to DVD was horrible.
