As a writer named Mike struggles to shepherd his semi-autobiographical sitcom into development, his vision is slowly eroded by a domineering network executive named Lenny who favors trashy reality programming. The irony, of course, is that every crass suggestion Lenny makes improves the show's response from test audiences and brings the show a step closer to getting on the air.

A scathing, satirical look at modern television production. This movie summarizes a lot of thoughts about TV that I've had and wasn't able to articulate clearly. Duchovny and Weaver were great.

you will enjoy this movie no matter who you are but if you are in the TV/Film industry you will enjoy this even more I highly reccomend this, in the beginning I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but with in about 15 minutes I was hooked a great movie I am giving this a 8.5 out of 10 because it's not for everyone but work in the industry and its def for you!!!

This movie's funny in no immediate ways, but the levity of the situation (as it were) is too sad to not be funny. Isn't it comforting to know that all of your good ideas are waiting to be heavily compromised by execs the world over? Straighty put, this movie is really enjoyable though it's hard to take enjoyment out of seeing one man's art & hard work get amended and worsened.

Saw this absolutly pitch perfect satire last year at the Tribeca Film Festival, I'm so happy it is getting a wider audience. Great Hollywood satire with an awesome cast. Sigourney Weaver Steals the show as a Ari-Gold-esque tv executive who is given some of the best one liners in recent history. A must see.
