The BEST Librarian/knowledge management movie... even if it unintentional. The computer is nothing without librarian!

Cute movie with the usual great chemistry between Hepburn and Tracy. And it is about librarians!

It is remarkable how relevant this old film is. Back in the day workers lost their jobs to machines. Now we loose our jobs to cheaper outsourcing workers overseas. Office politics haven't changed, although we don't get so sauced at work during holidays, openly celebrate Christmas at work, publically kanoodle with coworkers, or enjoy such large work spaces. The snappy romantic comedy dialogue seems familiar, it was written by the Ephrons (parents of contemporary romantic comedy screenwriter Nora).

Wonderful interplay between Tracy and Hepburn is somewhat overshadowed by references to out-of-date technology, but more often than not, this is a great little film.

Terrific fun all the way through Things to look out for - Hepburn and Tracy's wonderful scene on the roof, the way the women answer the phone ("Reference, Miss Watson") and the computer, a room-filling 50's thing with flashing lights and punch cards (I so want one of those), it's called Emerac but gets shortened to 'Emmy'. With a fantastic script and spritely performances - and it's about librarians - you'll want to watch it over and over.
