The Sunset Limited (2011)

A deeply religious black ex-con thwarts the suicide attempt of an asocial white college professor who tries to throw himself in front of an oncoming subway train, 'The Sunset Limited.' As the one attempts to connect on a rational, spiritual and emotional level, the other remains steadfast in his hard-earned despair. Locked in a philosophical debate, both passionately defend their personal credos and try to convert the other.

El largometraje trata sobre la relación que se establece entre dos hombres maduros, uno de los cuales evita en el último momento que el otro se suicide al paso del metro. Por esta acción, la pareja intercambia ideologías y posiciones totalmente opuestas y en un debate sustentado desde diferentes ópticas y antecedentes en sus vidas

Two master actors and their best performances I ve ever seen. A deep philosophical story. You may be a believer or not, the clash between faith and reason is only a way. The film is all about human. 90 mins in a single room oh I forgot and a toilet *lol* but never bored me. Dont let single location thing effect your decision to watch it. One of the most powerful scripts I ve ever seen.

Good versus evil, black versus white, and it all comes together in a tight, driven, 90 minute debate about the virtue of faith in a faithless world by a man who just wants to find the exit door.

Wow, two powerhouse performances dealing with faith and the meaning of life. Both Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones are incredible as they debate back and forth, both fully committed to their beliefs and ideals, all the while never leaving the same apartment. This is a must see for any thinking person of faith, although there is a fair bit of language in it, but what do you expect, it has Samuel L. Jackson in it.

Wow!!!! Brilliant performance, amazing dialogue!!! to be honest sometimes I lost track of the conversation in trying to think about what they have just said,but still enjoyed it. This movie redefines the word deep!!!!
