Probably an underrated piece of film by Samuel Fuller. Extremely brilliant and poignant with some intelligent and cool dialogue. It was extremely gratifying to see the side of the story of Americans as a whole and not just the politicians and so on. The message is more towards these people plight than any justification and that's what stands out.

Amazing war movie that sucks all the fake hollywood bullshit out of the spectacle and grounds it in humanity and scum. Brilliant.

Gritty low budget war movie that takes place mostly on one set. Sharp dialogue and authentic lead actors highlight this excellent early film by the legendary Sam Fuller. Feels more like a play than a motion picture. This is not a feel good movie.

The Steel Helmet (1951) is a fever dream of the Korean War, entirely possessed of its own unique, inimitable rhythms.

A fairly good Korean War film from Sam Fuller. A little lighter than it could've (and maybe should've) been but still entertaining and beautifully shot with a great performance from Gene Evans.
