As always in such movies, historical/documentary part is questionable but that's the only thing you may not like here. Everything else - from acting to storytelling, is truly amazing here.

Having watched Michael Sheen play Tony Blair twice now I can't say enough nice things about the job he does (I know, I know I need to see The Deal, I'm working on that). I think that he finds an even match in Dennis Quaid who plays a Bill Clinton that sounds just like the real thing. Hope Davis also does a really brilliant job as Hillary and you believe her and Quaid together. Though to expect anything else from Peter Morgan who brought out the big guns in his Blair trilogy. This is a really great look at the behind the scenes look at the events. I like the visual of Tony calling Bill from his bathroom to talk about the IRA while Bill rades the fridge. It also show that this Special Relationship was not always a relationship of equals and then the sad moment when Blair hitches his star to that of Bush.

A very strong portrayal of the Clinton/Blair relationship in the mid/late 1990s. The performances are brilliant and it is a touching portrayal of two politicians who will both be remembered in many ways more for their failures than their successes (i.e. Clinton and the Lewinsky scandal, Blair and the 2nd Iraq War). I knew what expect from Helen McCrory and Michael Sheen having seen them as the Blairs in The Queen but I was pleasantly surprised by the performances of Dennis Quaid and Hope Davis as Bill and Hillary Clinton. That said the film belongs to Michael Sheen who was born to play Tony Blair and he does so with the same sensitive naivety as he did in the Queen- it would be interesting to see him maybe play an older more jaded Blair during the Bush Jr years- that said I worry that he will be type cast as Blair. Definately worth the watching especially with you're at all into politics.

ok movie but I thought it would be better than that, I don't want to see it again, Michael Sheen played a really good Tony Blair and Dennis Quaid played Bill Clinton, it was ok

Really rather liked this look at the Blair-Clinton relationship, amidst the Kosovo crisis, and the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Lots of very good actors doing perfect impressions of the real life politicians, and some scenes that you really hope did take place in real life. Much more engaging than 'The Queen' in which Michael Sheen was terrific as Blair, but where the tedious story of royals doing royal things had little to say. This has lots to say, mainly about what happens next - with Blair evolving over the course of the story into the kind of man who will get into bed with Bush and wage war against tyrants even without justifiable evidence.
