WELL PRODUCED WITH SOME OUTSTANDING AFRICAN SCENERY. MELODRAMATIC THOUGH, GOOD CAST WITH A FINE GREGORY PECK PERFORMANCE. SO SO WRITING. NOT BAD.

Gregory Peck is decent in this, but the story is pretty fragmented, and it seemed pretty silly in parts, but it is a good example of why good communication is so important in a relationship.

I was not very entertained. I also did not like the fact that they didn't stick to just "The Snows of Kilimanjaro," but chose to add scenes from Hemingway's other stories. They also completely changed how he got into the situation (in so doing, changing the character) and the ending.

With great stars like Ava Gardner, Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward, a screenplay based on the works of Ernest Hemingway and a story set in Africa, France and Spain, one would expect much more from this film but unfortunately it falls short. However it's worth seeing for the impressive performances by Gardner and Hayward.
