Slumber Party Massacre was a mediocre effort of recreating Halloween... However, as a whole it fully embodies what we love about slashers! The killer has to be the biggest downfall he truly just didn't come across as an intimidating killer and (admittedly like Michael Myers) he had no motive for killing the bunch of teens! Overall, its worth the watch if you love your slashers.

The Slumber Party Massacre is a movie I just finally came across on YouTube(can watch it in parts.) But I'm glad I did finally see this one as I've always wanted to watch it but could never find it. Here, the story is straightfoward, a homocidal maniac escaped a psychiatric hospital, for which he is serving life for murders that happened years before. He stalks a group of girls from the high school basketball team and one has a slumber party in which the murderer kills them off one by one with a power drill along with some boys and a pizza delivery man. I found the film funny in some parts and really scary with a smart screenplay by feminist writer Rita Mae Brown, this was supposed to be a satire on slasher films and pretty girls in the state of undressed, targeted and murdered. And Amy Jones handles the directing of a satrical script with tongue in cheek. This is an underrated slasher that is flip, funny yet scary too.

A 'cheesy' stalk 'n; slash 80's horror film. A no holds barred serial killer has escaped and is back on the prowl for some pot smoking, beer swilling, sex crazed teenagers!!! A fast pace slasher movie which doesn't try to extend its welcome running time.

The ultimate Driller Killer Thriller! Amazingly soooo bad it's awesome! Great B horror movie from the 80's.

This is one is called a feminist slasher movie because of the female writer and director but it's got just as many women horribly killed as most of them do. The feminist angle makes it slightly more interesting than the pack, however.
