It is technically magnificent and eerily tense, like waiting for an ocean of blood to pour from an elevator shaft. The Krzysztof Penderecki score is deeply unnerving.

A masterpiece by Stanley Kubrick. The film can be very hard to understand to somebody, but if you watch it more times you will understand the genius in it. Also wonderful is the performance of the actors, especially Jack Nicholson who performed fantastically.

It's hard to describe a film like The Shining to anyone. Best way I can put it is if you like cinema and understand what build up is, then you're more than likely going to be absolutely unsettled by this insane movie that grabs you and slowly walks into pure madness all while making you think about what the hell is going on in the background. That's for later viewings.
