Not being too familiar with the play, The Seagull," I was intrigued by the story and adaptation. The cast is "current" and so well suited. (What moviie can be even remotely bad with the incomparable Annette Bening?!)I am still now sure I thoroughly understand it but was sure fascinated by The Seagull.

The camera movements cannot service the unconditional delivery of a cast that seems to have received this opportunity and run with it. [Full Review in Spanish]

An umpteenth adaptation of a masterwork that is open to endless interpretation. Like so many, it is interesting and in parts fruitful, but not entirely satisfying or affecting.
