I liked it! Nice story/dialogue, great cast and the ending is pretty good. Has the "indie feel" to it, which is a plus. For 1 hour and 35 minutes of drama that happens in pretty much 1 day, I'd say it was pretty fast-paced.

Based on the book with the same title, The Romantics, had no one else to blame then director Galt Niederhoffer, who wrote the book and screenplay and directed this terrible movie herself. The screenplay had lots of boring gaps, it was another wedding movie, something between My Best Friend's Wedding and Rachel Getting Married,specially the last one, at the scenes with the ridiculous rehearsal dinner toasts. Katie Holmes acting here was so bad and made the movie lacked on chemistry between the two leads.All the male roles were so uninteresting, made me wonder why they were included. The problem lied on the fact that whatever I did, I could not connect to this wedding.
